As mentioned, it features a new story that will take players on a riotous journey across the stars. Here, a group of unlikely heroes is formed as the new Guardian of the Galaxy. They will band together and fight off the upcoming total interplanetary meltdown.

You will play Peter Quill, also known as the Star-Lord. As the leader of the Guardians, nothing is off-limits with your bold combat style. You can utilize a wide range of powerful attacks, from Element Blasters and jet boot-powered dropkicks to tag-team beat-downs. You also call the shots on your team's attacks during combat. Note, however, that your decisions can affect your journey, from light-hearted to downright unexpected.

Users should also note that the game is solely a single-player campaign. While there is a team of heroes involved, you can only play as the Star-Lord. The rest of the members are not directly playable and are only controlled by artificial intelligence. You can issue commands and make decisions via dialogue trees, but you cannot control them directly. Moreover, despite the branching paths, the game has only one ending.
